In 2000, Jim Musical Directed Mark Twain’s Puddin’head Wilson at Garry Marshall’s Falcon Theater in Los Angeles. In 1999, he co-conceived, wrote, arranged, orchestrated and musical directed the National Tour of The Duke Ellington Songbook. In the fall of 1998 he served as Musical Director and Vocal Arranger for the world premiere of Only a Kingdom at the Pasadena Playhouse. Just prior to that, he served the same functions for Lullaby Of Broadway at the Tiffany Theater in Los Angeles, the world premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame at The Tennessee Repertory Theater in Nashville, as well as the Las Vegas and Houston companies of Beehive. He is a well known and featured pianist with many symphony orchestras around the world. His compositions for solo piano have been performed worldwide. He has conducted the London Philharmonic, and the Chicago, Dallas, Houston and Spokane Symphonies. On the flipside, he has performed and recorded with thousands of rock, blues, and pop artists. He is proud of his long association with Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. as their Musical Director. He is a former recording
artist with Atlantic Records where he wrote and produced 3 BILLBOARD TOP
40 singles on the pop charts.
