She has been designing for the theatre, film, and television since she graduated from Scripps College. After attending graduate school in London at the Motley School of Design she returned to Los Angeles and began teaching at Occidental College while still designing for film, television, and local theatres. Her theatre credits include Man and Superman, She Stoops to Conquer, Marisol, Habitation of Dragons, 4 Thorton Wilder One-Acts, Leopold and Loeb, Sweet Charity, Laura Dennis, Beggar's Opera, and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, among others. She Assistant Designed Disney's Pirates of the Carribean and Man of the Year. Alexa won a Garland award
for her design for A Servant to Two Masters, directed by Jessica
Kubzansky.
