As resident lighting designer for The Road Theater Company, other design work includes the much acclaimed Woman In Black (Drama Critics Circle, BackStage West special award), Napoli Milionaria (Valley Theatre League Award, Ovation Nomination), A Mis-Laid Heaven (Drama Critics Circle, Ovation nomination), and David and Goliath In America (Ovation Nomination). On other stages, he has designed for the world premiere of Dorian, A New Musical (Denver Theater Center, MB Artists); Vices (the NYC workshop) (The Signature Theatre); Mother and Child (Coast Playhouse); A Quarrel of Sparrows, Duck Dancing (Court Theater); Assassins (L.A. Repertory); The Fall of Ceausescu (L.A.T.C.); The Dining Room (Theater Forty, Drama-Logue Award); and A Little Night Music and Man of La Mancha for the Musical Theatre Company. In addition to lighting design, Robert is an experienced set designer. Recent set designs include She Loves Me, Hair, Most Happy Fella (Reprise!); Dorian, A New Musical (Denver Theater Center, MB Artists); Bingo, the Musical (The Ordway, Redondo Beach); Fantisea of a Kingdom in Phuket, Thailand; Disney's Jungle Adventures and The Little Mermaid on Ice on tour in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. for Feld Entertainment. Film and T.V. credits include Session Man (Academy Award), Contact (Academy Award nominee), Miss Collegiate Afro-American Pageant, Stomp '95 & '96, and Lush Life for Showtime. Benefiting A.I.D.S. and other charities, Robert has donated his time
and talents to The Actors’ Fund, S.T.A.G.E., The Battle for the Tiara,
Quest for the Crown 2000, Commitment to Life, Broadway Bares West, and
Divas Simply Singing.
