
Jeffrey Rockwell has combined his abilities as musician and actor/singer in such shows as Billy Bishop Goes to War, Gunmetal Blues, Old Wicked Songs, and Musical of Musicals. The Musical!) in its first productions outside New York.
As a musical actor, he portrayed Zoser in the LA and National touring productions of Elton John's Aida, Cervantes/Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha for Glendale's Centre Theatre, and the Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast for the Sierra Repertory Theatre. He also had the honor of playing Stone and Stine in the late Cy Coleman's City of Angels for LA and the First National Tour.
Among other notable musical roles in coast-to-coast productions, he has played multiple Sky Mastersons (Guys and Dolls), El Gallos (The Fantasticks), Fredriks (A Little Night Music), and Julian Marshes (42nd Street).
He has musical directed such scores as Gunmetal Blues, Follies, and A Little Night Music. As composer/lyricist, his musical adaptations of Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine and Francois Truffaut's The Last Metro have been mounted in New York and LA. (at the Colony), and his childrens' opera based on Rip Van Winkle, commissioned by San Diego Opera, has been a fixture in grade schools there for the past fifteen years.
