Michael
McCarty (debuted at the Colony as The Doctor Grand
Hotel, The Musical). Previous Los Angeles theatre credits include
a year-long engagement as J.P. Morgan in Ragtime, Sir Peter Hall's
Shakespeare Repertory Company at the Ahmanson in A Midsummer Night’s
Dream and Measure For Measure, and To Kill a Mockingbird
at La Mirada with Bruce Davison.
Other theatre credits include
Pop Carnes in the 2002 London transfer of the Royal National Theatre's
revival of Oklahoma! on Broadway, directly following a year as Abner
Dillon in the Tony-winning revival of 42nd Street. Other Broadway
credits include Big River, Sweeney Todd, Amadeus, King of Hearts, Teddy
and Alice, Dirty Linen and Newfoundland, and Bumble in the '84
revival of Oliver! Michael has toured in The Phantom, Pippin,
Greater Tuna, 1776, and as Alfred Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
He appeared regionally in over 100 plays at the Guthrie, McCarter, Hartford
Stage, NJ Shakespeare, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Cincinnati Playhouse,
St. Louis Rep, Papermill, D.C's Ford s, and Sacramento Music Circus.
Film credits include Robert
Redford's Legend of Bagger Vance, Dudley Do-Right, Casper, Dunston Checks
In, and Orpheus Descending, as well as guest-starring in over
50 TV shows, including Crossing Jordan. Michael has also done over
200 TV commercials both on-camera and voice-over.
