Mike Irizarry debuted at
the Colony as Jimmy #1 in Grand
Hotel, the Musical, reprising the role after having previously
performed it with members of the Original Broadway cast and First National
touring companies . A full-time resident of Los Angeles, he was featured
in Love, Lust or Bust, an original mini-musical series with the
Academy for New Musical Theater and in A Christmas Carol at Santa
Clarita Rep. Originally from New York City, Mike has appeared as Felix
Unger in The Odd Couple, Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance,
and
Che in 3 different productions of Evita. Other favorite roles include
Lamar in Godspell, Simon Zealotes in Jesus Christ Superstar,
and Tom Sawyer in Big River. He also appeared in the original
off-off Broadway cast of Charles Strouse's Nightingale.
Before his theatrical appearances,
Mike also worked for 10 years as Lead Vocalist for a variety of musical
groups in the NYC area, and also headlined in Los Angeles at Europa and
in New York City at The Duplex cabaret.
