Ms. LeBow was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Vassar College. Along with A Shayna Maidel,
her plays include Lurleen, Tiny Tim is Dead, Trains, The Keepers, Cyparis,
The Adventures of Homer McGundy, and Little Joe Monaghan. She
has been active in Human Service projects, including bringing theatre to
segments of the population who would not normally be involved in the arts,
such as prison inmates, the developmentally disabled, the homeless, youth
at risk, and those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Honors include
the Georgia Governor’s Award in the Arts in 1988 and the Atlanta Mayor’s
Fellowship in the Arts in 1986.
